Halbrunde Schale auf flachem, leicht ausgestelltem Standring. Weit ausladende Lippe mit wulstig umgeschlagenem Rand. Wandung mit zwei Rissen, minimale Dellen und Kratzer, insgesamt guter Zustand. Aufgeklebter, alter Inventarzettel von 1886 mit Angabe des Fundorts nahe Trier. Höhe 6,5 cm, Durchmesser 15 cm, Gewicht 239,17 g.
Provenienz: 1886 in Trier gefunden. Danach in Privatbesitz und 2008 über Hermann Historica verkauft. Nun zum Wiederverkauf erneut eingeliefert.

A Roman silver drinking bowl, 4th century
The semicircular bowl on a shallow, slightly flared ring stand. The wide rim with a beaded, folded edge. Two cracks in the side panels, minor indentations and scratches, overall in good condition. Still bearing an old inventory label dated 1886, stating that it was found near Trier. Height 6.5 cm, diameter 15 cm, weight 239.17 g.
Provenance: Found in Trier in 1886. Thereafter in a private collection and sold by Hermann Historica in 2008. It has now been consigned once again.
