Es handelt sich höchstwahrscheinlich um ein originales verliehenes Kreuz, das von der Firma Faberge in St. Petersburg gefertigt wurde. Die Auszeichnung wurde am 14. Februar 1914 eingeführt. Nach einigen Angaben wurden fast alle Stücke von der Firma Faberge gefertigt. Die 1. Klasse wurde 15 Mal verliehen, die 2. Klasse 117 Mal und die 3. Klasse 68 Mal. Bis jetzt sind nur sehr wenige Stücke in Museen und Privatsammlungen bekannt. Dazu Infoblatt zur Geschichte dieser Auszeichnung.

A Russian silver cigarette case with one of the rarest Russian orders – "For Work in Agriculture", a Cross 2nd Class, between 1913-23
Silver with riveted gold and silver, partially enamelled appliqués. One side with partially enamelled silver Cross 2nd Class, inscribed "For Work in Agriculture". In the centre, a medallion in the shape of a Romanov coat of arms with the mark of fineness for "88" zolotniki. The inside with remnants of gilding and engraved inscription in Latvian "Lei saule un mila - Tevi silda! – Dzukam no Mussi 31 X 1923". Moscow mark of fineness "84" zolotniki with the master's mark "AA". Dimensions approx. 12.5 x 7.3 x 1.5 cm, weight 210 g. Dimensions of the cross 44 x 60 mm. In good condition, the medallion has been lost from one appliqué. Good workmanship.
In all likelihood, this is an originally awarded cross, made by Faberge of St. Petersburg. The award was introduced on 14 February 1914. According to several accounts, almost all pieces were made by Faberge. The 1st Class was awarded 15 times, the 2nd Class 117 times and the 3rd Class 68 times. To date, only very few pieces are known to exist in museums and private collections. Also, an information sheet on the history of this award.
