Exceptional head of a silver pin in the form of a seated couple. The woman wearing a himation, holding a bowl in her right hand, her left hand resting on her left knee. Her bearded husband wearing a belted tunic, leaning back, his left hand missing, his right resting on the woman's back. The couple is placed on the top of a capital, the pin broken at the base. Height 3.3 cm. Weight 16.9 g.
An identical Parthian pin is housed in the British Museum (no. 141529).
Provenance: From a private collection in Rhineland-Palatinate, formed by the consignor's grandfather.

Außergewöhnlicher Kopf einer Silbernadel in Form eines sitzenden Paares. Die Frau im Himation, in der rechten Hand hält sie eine Schale, die linke ruht auf dem linken Knie. Ihr bärtiger Ehemann, der eine gegürtelte Tunika trägt, lehnt sich zurück, seine linke Hand ist verloren, während die rechte über den Rücken der Frau gelegt ist. Das Paar ist auf der Oberseite eines Kapitells dargestellt, der Nadelstift ist an der Basis abgebrochen. Höhe 3,3 cm. Gewicht 16,9 g.
Eine identische parthische Brosche befindet sich im Britischen Museum (Nr. 141529).
Provenienz: Aus rheinland-pfälzischer Privatsammlung, übernommen vom Großvater.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
