Bologna 1610 - 1670165 x 115 cmFortuna with a purse. Öl/Lwd./Lwd.The subject of the present painting dates back to the Fortuna with a purse of Guido Reni, from the year 1637, which is now in the Vatican museums. Giovanni Andrea Sirani, joined after a short apprenticeship with Giacomo Cavedone as a very young painter in the workshop of Guido Renis, where he soon became his closest and most loyal employees. After his death, in 1642, Sirani opened his own workshop in the heritage Renis was maintained, and his daughters Anna, Maria, Barbara, and Elisabetta cooperated. This painting is a version of compare, which is located today in the collection of the Fondazione Sorgente Group in Rome and the 2010 Jadrana Bentini Giovanni Andrea Sirani, attributed to and about 1660 it was dated. Both versions have a lot in common in terms of the treatment of the face, hair and hands of Fortuna, as well as in the choice of the dark blue sky, in two versions is significantly darker than the on Renis Original in the Vatican.
