Ein betörend qualitätsvolles Bildnis in feinstem Blanc de chine, besonders im Ausdruck des Gesichtes. Guanyin, die dem buddhistischen Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara entspricht, sitzt in der „lässigen“ Pose, Lilasana genannt. Vorderseits ein vielfältiger Faltenwurf, geperlter Schmuck auf der Brust, im Haar zuoberst ein Chignon, seitlich fließen lange Haarzöpfe bis über die Schultern. Das Gesicht in seinem feinfühlig-introvertierten Ausdruck ist delikat gestaltet. Die Finger ebenso fein, belebt und einzeln modelliert. Das querliegende Ruyi-Zepter trägt Perlenschmuck und den Kopf nach dem Langlebenspilz Lingzhi. Seitlich eine Armlehne mit Fabeltierkopf, dessen Maul ein Bein mit drei Krallen entspringt. 德化觀音菩薩坐像. 中國, 17至18 世紀. 高 20 厘米.

Jürgen L. Fischer, bedeutender Sammler von chinesischem Porzellan, lebte in Ascona. Ascona liegt im Schweizer Kanton Tessin am Lago MaGelbgoldiore. Die Größe der Sammlung Fischer beruhte weitgehend auf der Wohlhabenheit des Hauses, die durch eine Erfindung des Apothekers August Fischer eingeleitet war - nämlich dem ersten Kunstharz-Klebstoff der Welt, dem bekannten „Uhu Alleskleber“ im Jahr 1932. Jürgen L. Fischer, der bis 2013 gelebt hat, sammelte äußerst engagiert Porzellan aus China in erstaunlicher Variantenvielfalt, in jeder Größe und aus jeder Zeit. Aufgrund seines umfassenden Fachwissens hat Jürgen Fischer überdies mehrere Fachbücher publiziert. So gibt es von ihm beispielsweise ein sehr instruktives größeres Buch über die Kunst der Snuff Bottles Chinas oder einen Antiquitätenführer für den Bereich chinesischer Kunst.
