Dickinson, 1827].Complete first edition of an exceedingly rare and early English lithographic plate book on Mexico. In 1826, British naval officer Lyon, especially remembered for his exploits in Africa and the Arctic, traveled to Mexico as commissioner of the Real del Monte Mining Company. His journal, published a year after the present work, is one of the best nineteenth-century accounts of Mexico. Gunn, Mexico in American & British Letters 895; Sabin 42854.Oblong quarto (220 x 225 mm). Ten lithographs after drawings by Lyon, lithographed by J.W. Giles and others and printed by C. Hullmandel, printed on india proof paper and mounted above captions, including the two pictorial title-pages; plus two leaves of lithographed descriptive text (scattered few foxmarks). Modern morocco-backed marbled boards, titling piece.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
