Beutestück aus dem Besitz des Generalleutnant der Jugoslawischen Volksarmee Vaso Jovanović (1915 - 2013). Dazu zwei Originalfotos von Vaso Jovanović mit Uniform, eins davon zusammen mit Josip Broz Tito.
Slavko Kvaternik, Generalstabsoffizier der k.u.k. Armee, nach dem 1. WK Kommandeur des Generalstabes im Königreich der Serben, Kroaten und Slowenen, engagierte sich in der Ustascha-Bewegung und rief vier Tage nach dem Einmarsch der Wehrmacht am 10. April 1941 in Zagreb den Unabhängigen Staat Kroatien (NDH) aus. Ante Pavelic wurde kroatischer Staatschef und ernannte Kvaternik zum Marschall und Oberbefehlshaber der kroatischen Streitkräfte. 1942 kam es zum Bruch zwischen Pavelic und Kvaternik, der ins österreichische Exil ging. 1946 wurde Kvaternik an Jugoslawien ausgeliefert, zum Tode verurteilt und 1947 in Zagreb durch Erschießen hingerichtet.

Silver-plated brass, engraved, the side sections of the axe embellished with floral ornaments and the inscriptions "Za dom spremni" (Ready for my homeland) and "Na strazi" (On guard). A dedication in brass engraved on the neck "Odobravam ustaškom krilniku SLAVKU vitezu KVATERNIK nošenje sikirice, koju je dobio na dar od Hlinkine Garde, da je nosi kao krilnički znak na uspomenu ustaškog bratstva sa Hlinkinom Gardom. Ante Pavelić" (I grant the Ustasha wingman knight SLAVKA KVATERNIK the right to carry the sikirica, which he received as a gift from the Hlinka Guard, as a wing sign in memory of the Ustasha brotherhood with the Hlinka Guard. Ante Pavelić). The brass wedge retainer in the shape of the monogram "S" (for Slavko). The shaft decorated with brass inlays, the upper edge dated "1942". A restored crack in the middle, otherwise in good condition. Length 92 cm. Booty piece from the estate of Lieutenant General of the Yugoslav People's Army Vaso Jovanović (1915 - 2013). Slavko Kvaternik served as General Staff Officer of the royal-imperial army, then as commander of the General Staff in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croatians and Slovenes after WWI. Active in the Ustasha Movement, he proclaimed the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) in Zagreb on 10 April 1941, four days after the occupation of the Wehrmacht. Ante Pavelic became State Leader of Croatia and appointed Kvaternik as Marshal and Commander-in-Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces. In 1942, there was a rift between Pavelic and Kvaternik, who was sent into exile in Austria. In 1946, Kvaternik was extradited to Yugoslavia, where he was condemned to death and subsequently executed by firing squad in Zagreb in 1947.
