Der Deckel 1,5 cm hoch und an den Seiten mit einem eingeritzten ionischen Kymation verziert. Auf der Oberseite Christogramm mit Alpha und Omega innerhalb eines Kreises, dieser innerhalb eines Quadrats. Quadrat und Kreis vergoldet, von Ritzlinien begrenzt und mit einer Kannelur entlang der Mittellinie. Das Christogramm nur vergoldet und durch Ritzlinien begrenzt. In den Zwickeln zwischen Kreis und Quadrat Blätter mit Ranken eingeritzt. Auf der Vorderseite des Deckels auf dem Rand ein profilierter Verschlusshaken vernietet, der einen Niet auf der Vorderseite der Schatulle umschließt. Die Seitenwände der Schatulle analog zum Deckel mit geometrischen Mustern, umschlossen von Kreis und Viereck, verziert. Auf Vorder- und Rückseite ein achtstrahliger Stern aus zwei ineinander verschränkten, auszipfelnden Vierecken, seitlich zwei ineinander verschränkte Spitzovale.
Vereinzelte, kleine Druckstellen im Boden und auf der Vorderseite des Deckels. Sonst ausgezeichnet erhalten. Restaurierungsbericht vorhanden. Höhe, Breite und Tiefe je ca. 8 cm.
Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung, Übernommen aus der Sammlung des Vaters, von diesem in den 80er Jahren im Kunsthandel erworben.
Cube-shaped silver casket. Lid and lower part connected with two tubular three-partite hinges. The rectangular hinge lobes fastened with two rivets each in the lid and lower part, the rivets on the outside with spherical heads.
The lid 1.5 cm high and decorated on the sides with an incised ionic kymation. On the top Christogram with alpha and omega within a circle, this within a square. Square and circle gilded, bordered by incised lines and with a fluting along the centre line. The Christogram only gilded and bordered by incised lines. Leaves with tendrils incised in the spandrels between the circle and the square. On the front of the lid on the rim a profiled clasp riveted fitting around a rivet on the front of the casket. The sides of the casket, analogous to the lid, decorated with geometric patterns enclosed in circles and squares. On the front and back an eight-pointed star consisting of two interlocking, retracted quadrilaterals, on the sides two interlocking pointed ovals.
A few small pressure marks in the bottom and on the front of the lid. Otherwise in excellent condition. Restoration report available. Height, width and depth each approx. 8 cm.
Provenance: South German private collection, taken over from the father's collection, acquired by him in the art trade in the 1980s.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
