Stark gewölbte Brust mit Mittelgratung. Der obere Rand mit kräftigem, nach innen umgeschlagenem Brechrand. Seitlich geschobene Armeinsätze mit kantigen Brechrändern. An der rechten Seite drei Lochungen zur Befestigung des Rüsthakens, am oberen Rand zwei geschlagene Hängelochungen. Seitlich davon geschlagene Nürnberger Abnahmemarke. An den Schultern erhaltene eiserne Riemenösen. Anhängend zwei beweglich geschobene, originale Bauchreife. Höhe 42 cm.
Formschöne spätgotische Brustplatte in sehr guter Erhaltung.
A late Gothic knightly breastplate, Nuremberg, circa 1490/1500
Distinctly domed breastplate with a medial ridge. The upper edge with a prominent flange turned inwards. Articulated arm-gussets at the side with angular flanges. Three apertures on the right to attach the lance rest, two suspension holes struck on the top edge. The Nuremberg proof mark stamped at the side. Iron strap loops preserved on the shoulders. The attached original fauld sliding on two lames. Height 42 cm.
Beautiful late Gothic breastplate in excellent condition.
