Die Klinge (fleckig/narbig) mit Devisenätzung, quartseitig vollständiger Widmung "In herzlicher Kameradschaft - Ernst Röhm" und dem kleinen Eickhornlogo nahe der Parierstange. Schmale Neusilberparierstangen, die untere mit rückseitiger punzierter SS-Mitgliedsnummer "28967" über der römischen "III" für Berlin, schwarzer Holzgriff (gesprungen) mit eingelegtem Neusilberadler und emailliertem SS-Emblem. Schwarz brünierte Stahlscheide mit Neusilberbeschlägen sowie ledernem Vertikalgehänge. Länge 34,5 cm. Lagerungsbedingte Altersspuren sowie Grünspan.
Helmut Schmitt (Jahrgang 1910), 1934 SS-Untersturmführer, 1937 SS-Obersturmführer in der Sanitätsabteilung XXX, Mitglied des SS-Lebensborn, Träger des SS-Totenkopfrings. Übertritt zur Waffen-SS, von der SS-Pionier-Schule zur 14. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (galizische Nr. 1) versetzt, ab dem 30.1.1944 SS-Sturmbannführer der Reserve. Anbei in Fotokopie die Auszüge der SS-Dienstalterslisten von 1938 und 1944.

The blade stained/pitted, etched with a complete motto "In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Röhm" (tr. In sincere comradeship) on the reverse and the small Eickhorn logo next to the quillons. Slender, nickel silver quillons, the lower stamped on the back with the SS membership number "28967" above the Roman numeral "III" for Berlin, black wooden grip (cracked) with inlaid nickel silver eagle and enamelled SS emblem. The black burnished scabbard with nickel silver fittings and vertical leather hanger. Length 34.5 cm. Signs of age and verdigris due to storage.
Helmut Schmitt was born in 1910, became SS Untersturmführer in 1934, SS Obersturmführer in the Medical Battalion XXX in 1937, member of the SS Lebensborn, bearer of the SS Totenkopfring. Joined the Waffen SS, transferred from the SS Pioneer School to the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (Galician No. 1), SS Sturmbannführer der Reserve as of 30 January 1944. Also includes a photocopy of extracts from the SS Seniority Lists dated 1938 and 1944.
