Bruststern zur 1. Klasse mit Schwertern, Silber, vergoldet und emailliert, auf der Nadel und im rückseitigen Sternkörper altösterreichische Silber- und Herstellerpunzen von Rothe, Wien. Gewicht 68,8 g, Maße 88,5 x 88,5 mm.
Frühe Verleihungen mit Schwertern sind außerordentlich selten, zum Bsp. an König Carol I. von Rumänien als Anerkennung für den Krieg 1877 gegen die Osmanen, durch Zar Ferdinand I. von Bulgarien.

Order of St. Alexander, 1st Class, 2nd pattern, 1887 – 1908
Breast star to the 1st Class with Swords, silver, gilt and enamelled, the pin and the reverse star body with old Austrian silver marks and maker’s marks of Rothe, Vienna. Weight 68.8 g, dimensions 88.5 x 88.5 mm.
Early awards with swords are extremely rare, for example, to King Carol I of Romania as acknowledgement for the war against the Ottoman empire in 1877, by Tsar Ferdinand I of Bulgaria.
Cf. Todor Petrov, "Bulgarian Orders and Medals", p. 314, according to which the 1st Class with Swords was not awarded to any Bulgarians but to five (six) foreigners.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
