Im Vergleich zu den Weltkriegshelmen leichtere und einfachere Fertigung mit abgeändertem Übergang zum Vorderschirm, erhöhten Bohrungen zur Futterbefestigung, usw. Die feldgraue Lackierung mit sichtlichen Roststellen. Innenseitige Schlagstempelung "SS" und "RZM" im Kreis. Das lederne Dreilaschenfutter mit Hohlnieten befestigt. Durchgehende stärkere Schrapnellbeschädigung. Seltener Helm.

Compared to World War helmets a lighter and simpler version with modified forehead section, raised holes for the attachment of a liner etc. The field-grey finish with visible rusting. Stamped on the inside "SS" and "RZM" within a circle. The three-flap leather liner fastened with hollow rivets. Heavier shrapnel damages at front and back. Rare helmet.
