AN EMBOSSED GILT-COPPER FIGURE OF A BODHISATTVA - Tibeto-Chinese, 19th c. - Standing in samabhanga on a separate hammered lotus base with both hands in vitarkamudra, wearing dhoti tied around the waist with a ribbon knotted to the front, scarf draped around his shoulders with its streamers encircling the arms and its finials curling up, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, raised urna at his forehead, red coloured smiling lips, elongated earlobes, his blue coloured hairdo combed in a chignon and secured with a separate embossed tiara decorated with a pair of pattras and floating ribbons, resealed. - From a European private collection, acquired prior to 2007

In samabangha auf einem separaten Lotossockel stehend, beide Hände in vitarkamudra. Er trägt einen Dhoti, der um die Taille gebunden und mit einem Band verknotet wurde. Um seine Schulter drapiert trägt er einen Schal mit langen Bändern. Sein Gesicht zeigt einen heiteren Ausdruck mit niedergeschlagenen Augen unter gewölbten Augenbrauen, die in den Nasenrücken übergehen, auf der Stirn eine Urna und rot gefärbt lächelnde Lippen. Sein Haar trägt er zu einem Dutt frisiert, dass durch ein separat gearbeiteten Diadem fixiert wird. Die Basis später wieder versiegelt.
