A STONE STELE DEPICTING PROBABLY AMBHIKA - Central-India, ca. 8th ct. - Seated in lalitasana on a pedestal below a tree canopy sculpted with a small Jain tirthankara figure to the front, her right hand is holding a lotus-flower while the left embracing a child squatting on her left upper leg demonstrating the namaskaramudra, wearing sari, prominent breasts, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression, pouting lips, her hairdo combed in a chignon and flanked to her left by an apsara offering a garland. Mounted. - Collection Dr. Rainer Kreissl (1924 - 2005) - Important South German private collection, collected before 1990 - Wear, chipped, minor rest.

Sie sitzt in lalitasana auf einem Sockel unter einer Baumkrone mit einer kleinen Jain-Tirthankara-Figur an der Vorderseite, ihre rechte Hand hält eine Lotusblüte, während die linke ein Kind umarmt, das auf ihrem linken Oberschenkel hockt und das namaskaramudra demonstriert. Sie trägt einen Sari, hat ausgeprägte Brüste, ist mit Schmuck verziert, ihr Gesicht zeigt einen heiteren Ausdruck, ihre Lippen sind geschürzt, ihre Frisur ist zu einem Dutt gekämmt und sie wird links von einer Apsara flankiert, die eine Girlande anbietet.
