A PHYLLITE STONE STELE DEPICTING BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI - North-East India, Pala period, c. 10th/ 11th c. - Sculpted in high relief with Buddha Shakyamuni seated in vajrasana on a lotus base placed on a throne set to the front with the wheel of the Buddhist Law flanked by a pair of deer, his hands in dharmacakramudra, wearing diaphanous monastic garment including a mantle covering both shoulders, his hairdo continuing into the ushnisha, a head-halo behind engraved with the Buddhist Creed inscription, the throne flanked by a pair of vyalakas and its horizontal upper beam supporting a pair of stupas. - Collection Dr. Rainer Kreissl (1924 - 2005) - Important Southern German private collection, collected before 1990 - Partly chipped, filled losses with lacquer

Hochrelief mit Buddha Shakyamuni in Vajrasana auf einem Lotussockel sitzend, der auf einem Thron steht, vor dem das Rad der buddhistischen Lehre steht, flankiert von einem Paar Hirsche, die Hände im Dharmacakramudra, Er trägt ein diaphanes Mönchsgewand mit einem Mantel, der beide Schultern bedeckt, seine Frisur setzt sich in der Uschnisha fort, dahinter ist ein Halo mit der Inschrift des buddhistischen Glaubensbekenntnisses eingraviert, der Thron wird von einem Paar Vyalakas flankiert und sein horizontaler oberer Balken trägt ein Paar Stupas.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
