STRABONE (63 BC-24 AD). Tradotto ed edito da Guilielmus Xylander - Rerum Geographicarum libri septemdecim. Basel: ex officina Heinrich Petri, 1571. A copy in contemporary limp vellum of this important geographical survey, edited by Xylander and enhanced by the woodcut maps by Sebastian Munster used in several editions of Ptolemy. Folio (321 x 213mm). Printer's device on title and at end, 27 large-format woodcut double-page maps, 7 smaller woodcut maps in text, initials (title and final leaf slightly shorter at outer margin with some repairs and restorations, some letters supplied by hand and some small loss, a bit creased and soiled; in general some occasional waterstaining and browning). Contemporary limp vellum, manuscript title on spine (modern guards, some restorations and staining). In SBN there are two different versions and this copy follows the collation of the first).

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
