En placage de bois de rose, filets d'amarante, d'érable, houx, olivier, incrustations d'ivoire d'éléphant et de nacre, l'encadrement en chêne mouluré, sculpté, doré et partiellement laqué noir, à décor d'une frise de fleurettes et d'entrelacs et d'une autre de rais de coeur, surmonté d'un trophée marin sommé d'une couronne probablement associée, la marqueterie représentant un navire débarquant dans un port dans un médaillon, sommé de part et d'autre de rubans et reposant sur de larges feuilles d'acanthe et encadré d'un globe terrestre et d'un globe céleste sur fond quadrillé, l'ensemble encadré d'une frise de losanges, porte au dos l'étiquette du doreur 'FROMENTIN-FERNANDEZ / rue du Bac, 42" ; accidents, manques et restaurations
