Der Aufbewahrungskoffer enthält 197 Besteckteile in hartversilberter Ausführung mit dem reliefierten Hoheitsadler auf dem Stielende. Unterseitig die Punze für die Silberwarenfabrik "Bruckmann" und Silberauflage "90". Außer dem Besteck für die Gäste sind die etwas größeren Vorlagebestecke für Fisch, Salat, Braten, Gemüse, Kuchen, Soßen, Kompott, Käse und Butter sowie ein Teesieb, ein Spargelheber und zwei Nussknacker enthalten. Drei von 18 Dessertmesser fehlen, ansonsten vollständig. Das Furnier des Koffers beschädigt, das Schloss fehlt, einige Lederschlaufen der Einlageböden fehlen, diese mit Bezeichnung und Anzahl der Besteckteile.
In dieser Vollständigkeit wohl einmalig.
A silver cutlery used at the German Embassy in Spain
The storage case containing 197 pieces of hard silver-plated cutlery with the national eagle in relief at the end of the handle. The stamp for the silverware factory "Bruckmann" and silver appliqué "90" on the underside. In addition to the cutlery for guests' use, the set includes the somewhat larger serving utensils for fish, salad, roast meat, vegetables, cakes, sauces, compote, cheese and butter, plus a tea strainer, asparagus tongs and two nutcrackers. Three of 18 dessert knives are missing, otherwise complete. The veneer of the case damaged, the lock has been lost. Several leather loops are missing from the inserts, these labelled with the type and number of cutlery pieces.
As a virtually complete set, presumably a unique find.
