Pocket watch: Important, highly complicated gold hunting case watch with perpetual calendar and minute repeater, No.47608, attributed to Audemars Piguet, made for Dürrstein Dresden, ca. 1900
Ca. Ø58mm, ca. 172g, 18K gold, hunting case watch à-goutte, extremely heavy quality, case number 47608, case punch Dürrstein Dresden, glazed movement, very fine precision lever movement, minute repeater, perpetual calendar, typical 3-stepped enamel dial according to Glashütte's design, pink gold hands, in excellent condition, in working order. This watch probably belongs to the series of 35 watches that Audemars Piguet delivered to Dürrstein in Dresden in 1900. These watches were not signed Audemars Piguet and had typical Glashütte features, such as the 3-stepped Glashütte-style dial and a gilt movement (Lit: Audemars Piguet, Brunner, Pfeiffer-Belli & Wehrli, 1993). One of these watches was No.48540, sold in our 166th auction for 25,000€. Another watch of this commission, No.48355 was auctioned in Geneva in 2015 (source: https://www.cortrie.de/go/q6d).
