Pocket watch: early gold hunting case watch with repeater, probably Patek Philippe for Cairelli Rome, circa 1865
Ca. Ø49mm, approx. 86g, gold hunting case watch with early crown winding, engine turned, case number 24843 (according to the Patek Philippe numbering system circa 1865), very rare calibre with typical construction of the winding wheels with wolf's toothing, cylinder escapement, quarter repeater, champleve dial and steel hands, box signed A. Cairelli Roma Consessionario Patek Philippe & Cie. The watch is one of the earliest Patek Philippe pocket watches with crown winding and complication. The dial and hands are no longer original. The movement and striking mechanism are complete. However, the watch needs an overhaul as the mainspring is broken. A video for this lot is available on our website.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
