Ca. Ø55mm, ca. 177g, 18K Gold, prächtig floral graviert, typische Gehäusedekoration für den indischen Markt, Savonnette a-goutte, Gehäusenummer 9150, Werksverglasung, hochfeines Präzisionsankerwerk mit Minutenrepetition, ewigem Kalender mit seltener retrograder Datumsanzeige und Mondphase, signiert Hamilton & Co. Calcutta, Bombay & Simla, originales Emaillezifferblatt, gebläute Stahlzeiger, beeindruckende Prunksavonnette mit sehr seltener Kombination der Komplikationen. Nach unseren Recherchen ist es das einzige bekannte Exemplar mit einem retrograden Datum in der Kombination mit den anderen Komplikationen. Das Werk ist eine Schweizer Spitzenkaliber nach dem Patent von Marius LeCoultre. Die Firma Hamilton & Co. wurde 1808 in Kalkutta von dem britischen Silberschmied Robert Hamilton (1772-1848) unter der Lizenz der East Indian Company gegründet. Robert Hamilton wurde bald sehr wohlhabend und war ein angesehener Mann. Er eröffnete weitere Geschäfte in anderen Teilen Indiens und wurde zu dem bekanntesten und renommiertesten britischen Juwelier und Silberschmied Indiens und Synonym für Stil, Klasse und Qualität.
