Approx. 56mm, approx. 185g, 18K red gold case, excellent housing quality, an important case maker LOUIS COMTESSE, Pocket chronometers of exceptional quality in the extremely rare version with 1/8-Repetition, beautifully engraved face clamp, circuit Board, signed and numbered, signed and numbered dial, silver, red gold hands, very good condition, fully functional, great English collector's watch. Pocket chronometers with 1/8-h-Repetition are extremely rare. James Dallas was a well-known chronometer maker, recorded from 1800-1820, he produced a Pocket chronometer for the Duke of Sussex. The watch is a significant collect of the Ruhr, not only because of their originality and the rare technical specificity, but also because of the housing. By far the most famous case makers of this time Louis Comtesse, who worked in London and its housing in the Goldsmith's Hall was hallmarking. His hallmark of LC can be found in the Housings of the most famous watchmakers of his time.
