Pocket watch: early English pocket watch with self-strike, Robert Newman London No.7, ca. 1720
Ca. Ø57mm, approx. 185g, pierced, gilt case, bell, signed original dome, dome and plate signed and numbered No.7, magnificently decorated barrel, Egyptian pillars, hour self strike, champleve dial, iron hands, dial signature refreshed, intact, cleaning recommended. Robert Newman was already active in London before 1721. According to our research, this is the earliest pocket watch by him that is known to have survived. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
