Lot 4134 | Pocket watch: rarity, one of the earliest known pocket watches with minute repeater with 3 Hammers, and visible-percussion, Bausse No. 1954, Boulevard D'antin (Paris), circa 1810
Approx. 56mm, approx. 138g, 18K rose gold, rändiertes middle part, guilloche, dust cover signed, minute-repeating work of the utmost rarity, with full boards, 3 Hammers, and visible-strike movement, cylinder escapement, original signed enamel dial, Breguet-style hands, probably original key, passable, cleaning, needy, extremely rare. Most of the watches from this time were equipped with a minute repeater, come from Breguet and Lepine. Also this watch is probably a Lepine calibre. A nearly identical clock was auctioned in Geneva in 1999 and had over 13,000 Swiss francs (https://www.cortrie.de/go/0nA).
