Approx. Ø37mm, approx. 49g, 18K Gold, double case, outer case intricately engraved and enamelled, depicting a noble crown set with a passage from the Bible: "justus ut palma florebit-The Righteous shall flourish like a palm tree" surrounded by red enamel, look busy-sided alternately with red and white stones, inside the housing smooth, both case and movement number are the same 16526, early Geneva, Spindle mechanism with high and steep screw, very nice cob, perfectly preserved, original, signed enamel dial, and probably the original pointer, and probably the original key, very nice condition, functional, very fine collector's watch. Isaac Soret was born in 1673 in Geneva as the son of Barthélemy Soret and Susanne Terroux. Isaac Soret, a brother of Jaques. He married Hélène Definod, ca (1675-1742), and in 1750 the company of Isaac Soret & Fils, 1750. He died on 27. November 1750 in Geneva, 77 years of age.
