A pre-Columbian vessel and an Ecuadorian anthropomorphic female terracotta figurine, circa 1500 B.C.
Upper half of an impressively worked female figure. Strongly stylised, block-like head, which is clearly set off from the upper part of the body. The arms rest against the body below the breasts. The hips are set off. Terracotta. Length 6 cm. With a thermoluminescence certificate dated January 1991.
Comes with a pre-Columbian bent-wall vessel with foot ring. Ornamental decoration and spout on the shoulder. Fracture on the foot ring. Otherwise intact. Height 23 cm.

Knickwandtopf, präkolumbisch, und Frauenfigur, Ecuador, Valdivia-Kultur, ca. 1500 v. Chr.
Obere Hälfte einer eindrucksvoll gearbeiteten Frauenfigur. Stark stilisierter, blockartig gearbeiteter Kopf, der vom Oberkörper deutlich abgesetzt ist. Die Arme liegen unterhalb der Brüste am Körper an. Hüfte abgesetzt. Terracotta. Länge 6 cm. Mit Thermolumineszenz-Gutachten vom Januar 1991.
Dazu ein präkolumbischer Knickwandtopf mit Standring. Auf der Schulter ornamentale Verzierung und Ausguss. Bruchstelle am Fußring. Sonst intakt. Höhe 23 cm.

Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass eines Sammlers in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
