A THANGKA DEPICTING A SIDDHA - Tibet, 18th/ 19th c. - The siddha is occupying the centre of the painting seated on an animal-skin draped over a cushion placed on a rock, his right hand resting on his knee while the left is supporting a kalasha, wearing various garments, his elderly face displaying a severe expression, moustache and beard framing lips and chin, elongated earlobes with large ear-ornaments, his hair combed in a chignon, a double halo behind, flanked to each side by a lama, the upper register with the red Buddha Amitabha showing the meditation gesture, flanked by a lama and Milarepa, below the siddha is a reclining deer and all are placed in a mountainous landscape, in brocade mounting. - Important German private collection, collected in the 1970s and 80s, mainly acquired at Schoettle Ostasiatica, Stuttgart. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
