First edition of Blome's descriptions of Jamaica, Barbados, Bermuda, Carolina, New York, Northwest America, and Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, etc., accompanied by maps. "A popular but unreliable guide which did much to attract emigration to these shores" (Howes). Howes B546; Sabin 5972; Wing B3215.

Octavo (189 x 108mm). Engraved frontispiece portrait, seven folding maps, and a folding chart on sun-dials (maps and chart backed in linen, one with minor loss at corner), astronomical table (36 pp.) and ads (6 pp.) at rear. 19th-century red morocco gilt over marbled boards. Provenance: faint ownership inscription to lower margin of title page – library stamp and markings to verso of title. Custom box.
