A sharp and fine copy of the first edition of this third collection of Sherlock Holmes stories. "The author was persuaded to revive Sherlock Holmes by the generous offers made by the proprietors of the American magazine: $25,000 for six stories, $30,000 for eight, or $45,000 for thirteen. No conditions were attached. He replied on a postcard: 'Very well. A.C.D.' Having decided to write a new series, the author took care to preserve the integrity of his fictional character. 'I would not write a Holmes story without a worthy plot, without a problem which interested my own mind, for that is a requisite before you can interest anyone else.'"(Green & Gibson). After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
