POTTER, Beatrix (1866-1943). The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle. London: Frederick Warne, 1905.Presentation copy of the first edition, inscribed and signed by the author at the time of publication on the front free endpaper: “For Theresa Thorp, with love from Beatrix Potter, Oct 15 ’05.” Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle was published in September 1905 and this is the earliest presentation copy we locate. Two other early presentation copies from Beatrix Potter to Theresa Thorp were in the Collamore Collection catalogued by Quinby. Linder, p. 425; Quinby 8. 12mo. Color frontispiece and 26 color plates by Beatrix Potter (lacking half title). (Closed tear to frontispiece.) Original green boards with pictorial cover label, pictorial endpapers (spine chipped with portion lacking, front hinge broken with an old reinforcement, title and following leaf detached and laid in). Provenance: Theresa Thorp (presentation inscription) – Harry Bacon Collamore, noted Potter collector of Hartford, Connecticut (bookplate opposite half-title).

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
