Deluxe limited edition, illustrated by Rackham, and in a pictorial morocco binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe / Zaehnsdorf. “One does not argue about The Wind in the Willows. The young man gives it to the girl with whom he is in love, and if she does not like it, asks her to return his letters. The older man tries it on his nephew, and alters his will accordingly. The book is a test of character. We can't criticize it, because it is criticizing us. As I wrote once: It is a Household Book; a book which everybody in the household loves, and quotes continually; a book which is read aloud to every new guest and is regarded as the touchstone of his worth.” (A.A. Contemporary full red morocco gilt, recessed panel on front board with morocco onlays in many colors reproducing Rackham's illustration of Mole and Rat loading a hamper onto their boat; stamp-signed by the binders on upper turn-in, the illustration opposite p. 6, Rackham’s gilt stamped signature in the lower left, gilt stamped ribbed spine, gilt ruled turn-ins, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, all others uncut, by Sangorski and Sutcliffe/Zaehnsdorf; morocco-edged and velvet-lined slipcase.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
