ID 411510
Lot 102 | Their first B-side: "End of the Night"
Estimate value
$ 7 000 – 9 000
One leaf, 210 x 135mm, in pencil. Matted and framed (not examined out of mat).
Autograph lyrics and music in the hand of keyboardist Ray Manzarek. "End of the Night" is from The Doors' 1966 demo recording, and the present was most likely copied for the band's lawyer Max Fink so that he could file copyright for the song. The lyrics differ slightly from the version that appears on their first album. "End of the Night" was the only song from the demo to make it on the first album, and it was the B-side track to the band's first single, 1967's "Break on Through (To the Other Side)".
