Half of the 19th century. Century, on frame back alt called "Original by Theodor Verhas" and "powder tower in Mannheim?", minor signs of age, under passe-partout behind glass framed, passe-partout cutout approx 16.6 x 12.4 cm. Artist info: actually, Theodor Anton Joseph Maria Verhas, dt. Draughtsman and painters of the romantic era (1811 Schwetzingen until 1872 Heidelberg), short-term studies established at the University of Heidelberg, then employment with the painting under the influence of Daniel Fohr and Carl Rottmann, and classes in Karlsruhe at Ernst Fries, to study in Munich, and in 1856 in Heidelberg, in 1863, to stay in the order of the princes of Löwenstein-Wertheim in Wertheim, source: Thieme-Becker, and Wikipedia.
