Bronze, patiniert. Figur eines jungen Mannes in geschlitzter Landsknechtstracht des frühen 16. Jhdts. Die rechte Hand auf einem Löwenschild ruhend, in der Linken eine bandumflochtene Helmbarte haltend. Am Gürtel Dolch und Geldkatze. Die quadratische Plinthe signiert "Th. Dennerlein". Höhe 88 cm. Thomas Dennerlein, geboren 1847 in Mitterteich (Oberpfalz), besuchte von 1859 bis 64 die Kunstgewerbeschule in München und schuf danach den Figurenschmuck für zahlreiche öffentliche Gebäude des bekannten Architekten Gottfried von Neureuther. Die Figur des Pagen schuf er für die Kunstausstellung im Münchner Glaspalast, wo 1883 erstmals ein Gipsmodell ausgestellt wurde. 1897 wurde er zum königlichen Professor ernannt und verstarb 1903 als Inhaber zahlreicher bayerischer Kunstpreise. Für seine Verdienste wurde er mit dem Michaelsorden ausgezeichnet. Zustand: I - II
