A YELLOW SILK THRONE CUSHION OR TABLECLOTH WITH LOTUS VINES - China. Qing dynasty. 18th to early 19th c. - Yellow satin silk, sewn together from two panels, embroidered in colored silk in satin stitch with finely modeled relief. Details in knotted stitches. Dense tendrils with lotus and chrysanthemum flowers surrounding a central medallion of two stylized chilong dragons. Between the tendrils flying bats with swastika in their mouths. Outside a frame with similar motifs set off. - ERRATUM: From an old German private collection, collected before 1990Quite good condition, slight traces of use, the colors partly very well preserved. The textile was later sewn onto a padded blue silk and decorated on three sides with a modern fringe with tassels

Gelbe Satinseide, aus zwei Bahnen zusammengenäht, bestickt in farbiger Seide in Plattstich mit fein modelliertem Relief. Details in Knötchenstichen. Um ein zentrales Medaillon aus zwei stilisierten chilong-Drachen dichte Ranken mit Lotos- und Chrysanthemenblüten. Dazwischen fliegen Fledermäuse mit Swastika im Maul. Außen ein Rahmen abgesetzt, mit ähnlichen Motiven.
