Über einem dreifach gestuften Sockel tragen zwei viereckige Säulen mit geometrischem und Sternen-Dekor die ovale Tischplatte.

Die 1981 von Norbert Berghof (geb. 1949), Michael A. Landes (geb. 1948) und Wolfgang Rang (geb.1949) in Frankfurt gegründete Architektengruppe steht für eine Frankfurter Spielart der Deutschen Postmoderne. Ihr Möbelprogramm bei Draenert, insbesondere die "Frankfurter Schränke" (1985-87" und die "Frankfurter Stühle F 3, F 5 und F 12" (1985-90) ähnelt einer narrativen Sprache und besteht aus poetisch aufgeladenen, sinnlichen Einzelstücken. Der deutsche Möbelhersteller Dr. Peter Draenert eröffnete 1968 in Friedrichshafen seine Werkstätten mit dem erklärten Ziel, modernes Design deutscher und deutschsprachiger Entwerfer in der Bauhausnachfolge zu verwirklichen. Draenert kümmerte sich früh um die Verwirklichung des klassischen modernen Designs und hat mit dem Architektentrio Berghof, Landes und Rang maßgebende Vertreter der deutschen Postmoderne gewonnen. Ihre Die "Frankfurter"-Serie (1985-90) mit verschiedenen Möbeln, darunter die Stühle und der Tisch gehören zu den bekanntesten Möbeln der Draenert Studios. Die Firma Draenert ist in vielen öffentlichen Sammlungen und Ausstellungen vertreten, so unter anderem im Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York, im Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Tokio, im Victoria and Albert Museum in London sowie im Deutschen Architekturmuseum, Frankfurt a. M.
