Description: 2-hand-wristwatch with tourbillon at 11 o'clock position. Ultra thin movement. The movement of the winding weight can be followed on the dial at 6 o'clock position. Rubies on the back cover. Etui with outer box and warranty enclosed. Purchased at Juwelier Koppenwallner Salzburg for S 230.500 at that time.
Audemars Piguet ULTRA THIN AUTOMATIC TOURBILLON Ref. 25643
This exceptional men's wristwatch combines state-of-the-art watchmaking with historical design. The reference no. 25643 with calibre 2870 was presented in April 1986. The watch contains nothing less than the world's thinnest movement with tourbillon and automatic winding. The highlight, however, is that the watch, with a total height of 4,8 millimetres, cleverly integrates both complications in the case - this was realised by the fact that the case shell itself is part of the movement plate. The movement is wound by an automatic pendulum mechanism, with the pendulum made visible through an opening in the dial. The cage of the tourbillon has a diameter of only 7,2 millimetres, with an overall height of only 2,5 millimetres, and is made of titanium in order to save weight here as well. This watch is the first time this light material has been used to build a tourbillon. The light weight of the tourbillon could be perfectly combined with the ultra-thin movement, as the very thin mainspring can produce very little energy. The crown for setting the time is located on the back of the watch. This fact that the movement is the case itself is what makes this watch so special. The optical design of the dial is also special, because the visible tourbillon represents a sun whose rays spread out over the entire dial. The model for this was a relief from the tomb of the famous Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen. Below the dial at 6 o'clock position, you can observe the pendulum made of a platinum-iridium alloy for automatic winding, which bears the maker's signature. We are proud to offer you this technical masterpiece in a special design with all documents and accessories. A professional overhaul of the piece was recently carried out at the Audemars Piguet ateliers.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
