Dreiviertelplastische Darstellung der aus vergoldetem Nussbaum gefertigten Muttergottes mit farbig gefasstem Gesicht. In den Händen ein Tuch zusammengedrückt, blickt sie von Trauer gezeichnet schräg nach unten. Ursprünglich als Teil einer Figurengruppe (wohl einer Grablegung oder Kreuzabnahme) für ein Altarprogramm geschaffen. Linker Arm und Hände angesetzt. Auf einem halbrunden, mehrstufigen Sockel. Bestoßen. Höhe 53 cm.

Three-quarter sculpture of the Virgin Mary carved in gilt walnut, her face painted in colour. A drape of cloth clasped in her hands, she bows her head, her gaze downcast in grief. Originally created as part of a group of figures for an altarpiece (probably Entombment or Deposition of Christ). Her left arm and hands separately attached. On a semi-circular, stepped pedestal. Knocked. Height 53 cm.
