Steifer Korkkorpus, bezogen mit sandfarbenem, weiß gestrichenem Baumwollköper, an den Seiten insgesamt vier Lüftungssiebe, Vorderschirm und langer Hinterschirm. Stirnseitig ein aufgelegter Reichsadler aus geprägtem, vergoldetem Buntmetall, mit textilen Schlaufen fixiert. Innenfutter aus feinem dunkelgrünen Baumwollköper (Stempel "1568 No"), ockerfarbenes Lederschweißband mit Prägestempel "Ludwig Bortfeldt Bremen". Ohne Besatzstreifen, Kokarde und Kinnriemen. Trage- und Altersspuren. Sehr selten.

The stiff cork body covered in sand-coloured cotton twill, painted white, a total of four air vents on the sides, front visor and long rear visor. A national eagle in embossed, gilt, non-ferrous metal appliquéd on the front and fixed with textile loops. Lined in fine, dark green cotton twill (stamped "1568 No"), ochre-coloured leather sweatband with embossed stamp "Ludwig Bortfeldt Bremen". The trim, cockade and chinstrap have been lost. Signs of age and wear. Extremely rare find.
