Folio (540 x 370mm.), 12 fine tinted lithographed plates (including frontispiece) by R. Carrick after Beresford, title and one page of text (list of plates), red cloth-backed red card wrappers, rather spotted and browned, first plate with tear into image, binding rubbed and splitting along backstrip
In the context of the present work, southern Albania included much of Epirus in modern northwestern Greece. The views, taken in 1853-1854 during the war between Russia and Turkey when Greece was attempting to secure territory in Epirus on the west bank of the Arakthos river, include Janina, Arta, Parga, Philiates, Peta, and Butrinto opposite Corfu.
