As an officer in the 4th Queen's Hussars, Churchill approves the clothing and savings bank account for William Brownslow. Following his graduation from Sandhurst in December 1894, Churchill was commissioned a second lieutenant. In October 1896, Churchill would travel with his regiment to India and was based in Bangalore. It would be there that he would commence a campaign of self-education in preparation for what would be a long and storied political career that began in earnest with his first election to Parliament in 1901. A good early pair of examples of Churchill’s signature.
