Lot 77 | TWO GOLD PILLBOXES AND A HARDSTONE FLOWER STUDY
Both pillboxes square, the first in yellow gold basket-weave with a sapphire push-piece, signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS and marked 18K, numbered 18V55-3; the second in yellow gold with panels of engine-turning to the sides and base, the lift-up hinged cover engraved with a medal of Saint Christopher with four rubies to each corner, and engraved to the inside with initials TYR / MW, apparently unsigned, marked 14K; the flower study designed as a spray of lily of the valley in various hardstones on metal stems and resting in a clear molded glass vase, apparently unmarked, in display box stamped Hammer Galleries New York to the inside
