Each of baluster form; the first decorated with red enamel and gilt over underglaze blue with chrysanthemums, hydrangeas and plum blossoms behind fences and rockwork, bordered by bands of scrolling foliage and cherry blossoms; the second decorated with various coloured enamels and gilt with a pair of karashishi among peonies and two eagles amongst blossoming cherry branches, the shoulder with a scroll-bordered panel of stylised chrysanthemums, foliage, ho-o birds and geometric patterns; both later fitted for electricity and mounted onto hardwood stands
