TWO RARE CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE ENAMELED MIRROR-BLACK GILT-DECORATED TRIPLE-GOURD VASES

QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)

The central bulb of each is decorated in the famille verte palette with birds and flowering branches within shaped panels reserved against a pattern of gilt lotus scroll on a pale iron-red ground on one and a pale turquoise ground on the other, the upper and lower sections are covered in a mirror-black glaze and decorated in gilding with shaped panels variously depicting landscapes, antiques, birds and animals reserved on a gilt lotus scroll.

27 3/4 in. and 26 3/8 in. (70.5 and 67 cm.) high
