Federzeichnung. 24,5 x 10 cm. Unter Passepartout und Glas gerahmt, ungeöffnet. Min. Rest. - Italienischer Historien- und Portraitmaler und Architekt. Nach erstem Unterricht bei seinem Vater lernte C. bei Garofalo in Ferrara. Er führte Altarbilder und Fresken in verschiedenen Städten aus bevor er sich wohl 1536 dauerhaft in Ferrara niederließ und einer der wichtigen für die Herrscherfamilie d'Este tätigen Künstlern wurde. Ab 1549 war er in Rom als Architekt für Kardinal Ippolito d'Este tätig und nahm an Ausgrabungen der Villa Adriana teil. Mus.: Florenz (Uffizien), Madrid (Prado), Dresden (Gem.-Gal.
