Zwei sehr seltene Karten der Krim. Zwei kolorierte Kupferstichkarten des Russisch-Türkischen Krieges von Antonie du Chaffat. Die Karten zeigen Teile der Ukraine, das Schwarze Meer und die Krim. Mit militärischen Stellungen und Marineverbänden. Die Karten basieren auf den Karten von Generalfeldmarschall Graf von Münnich und Feldmarschall Lacy und wurden von der Russischen Akademie der Wissenschaften herausgegeben. Die Karten wurden mehrfach nachgestochen, auch bei Covens & Mortier und Ottens in Amsterdam. Am seltensten scheint die vorliegende Variante von A. du Chaffat zu sein, die wahrscheinlich in Augsburg erschienen ist. Wir konnten nur wenige Exemplare in Universitätsbibliotheken ausfindig machen. - Unterer w. Rand teilweise wasserrandig. - ╔Dabei: Erklärungsblatt╗ der auf den Karten vorkommenden Buchstaben in drei Sprachen. Blgr. 51 x 66 cm. - Two very rare maps of Crimea. Two coloured engraved maps of the Russian-Turkish War by Antonie du Chaffat. The maps show parts of the Ukraine, the Black Sea and the Crimea. With military positions and naval associations. Our copy of A. du Chaffat appears to be the rarest, probably published in Augsburg. With explication leaf.
