Unbekannt um 1877 Prinz Ferdinand von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha Halbfigur leicht nach rechts, den Kopf nach links gewandt. In einem Kostüm des 18. Jahrhunderts. Rücks. Etikett ''Erbschaft Hzgin. Nadejda v. Württ. Nr. 203'' sowie Stempel Schlossverwaltung Lindach. Öl auf Karton (auf fotografischer Grundlage?). BA. im Oval 30 x 20 cm. Reicher Rocaillerahmen, besch. (63 x 42 cm). Prinz Ferdinand von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha (1861 Wien - 1848 Coburg) war ab 1887 Knjaz (Fürst) und von 1908 bis 1918 Zar von Bulgarien. Er war ein Sohn von Prinz August von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha (1818-1881) und Clémentine von Orléans (1817-1907). 1893 heiratete Ferdinand I. Prinzessin Marie Louise von Bourbon-Parma (1870 Rom -1899 Sofia), eine Halbschwester der Kaiserin Zita, mit der er vier Kinder hatte. Seine Tochter Nadejda (1899-1958) heiratete 1924 Herzog Albrecht Eugen von Württemberg (1895-1954). Das Gemälde zeigt den jungen Prinzen auf einem Kostümfest im Jahre 1877.
