Feldgrauer Alpinihut mit goldgesticktem Abzeichen des XXX. Pionier-Bataillons "Guastatori" mit linksseitigem Rangstreifen eines Capitano. Das Lederschweißband mit Bezeichnung "Qualità Superiore", im gelben Seidenfutter unleserlicher Herstellerstempel. Stärker getragen, Mottenlöcher. Graugrüner, kragenloser Viertaschenrock in Winterausführung mit blauen Tuchspiegeln mit aufgelegtem Metallabzeichen. Der linke Ärmel mit aufgenähtem Schild der Xa MAS über dem gestickten Abzeichen des Bataillons "Valanga". Die Ärmel mit vernähten Rangabzeichen am Bund. Grüne Holzknöpfe. Graues Fischgrätfutter mit Kammerstempeln 1942, im Nacken gesticktes Monogramm "R.A.". Graugrüne Hose mit zwei Schoß- und Gesäßtaschen und teilweisem grauen Futter, an den Knöcheln knöpfbar. Graugrüner Wollpullover. Ein Paar halbhohe Stiefel aus hellbraunem Leder mit benagelten Sohlen und verstärkten Spitzen. Ein Sam Browne Belt mit Pistolentasche für eine Beretta M 34, dazu ein Beutefernglas "Luminor Saint-Etienne - Grand Angle 10 x 40" in braunem Lederköcher. Bei dem Träger "R.A." könnte es sich um Alberto Rota gehandelt haben, der wohl bereits in der 9./XXX. Btg Genio Guastatori "Valanga" gedient hatte

The leather sweatband inscribed "Qualità Superiore", illegible manufacturer's stamp in the yellow silk lining. Heavily worn, moth holes. Greyish-green, collarless four-pocket service tunic in winter issue with blue fabric tabs and appliquéd metal badge. The left sleeve with the Xa MAS shield sewn on above the embroidered badge of the "Valanga" battalion. Rank insignia stitched on the cuffs of the sleeves. Green wooden buttons. Grey herringbone lining with depot issue stamps 1942, the monogram "R.A." embroidered at the nape. Greyish-green trousers with two coattail and hip pockets, partly lined in grey cloth, with buttons at the ankles. Greyish-green wool sweater. A pair of ankle boots in light brown leather with nailed soles and reinforced toes. A Sam Browne belt with a holster for a Beretta M 34, along with a pair of captured binoculars "Luminor Saint-Etienne - Grand Angle 10 x 40" in a brown leather case. The wearer's initials "R.A." could refer to Alberto Rota, who apparently served in the 9th/XXXth Btg Genio Guastatori "Valanga".
