Highly uncommon large format original photograph in matte finish picturing Lou Gehrig in New York Yankees road uniform standing with bat. Image size measures 10 ½"x13" within its original 15"x20" matting folio with New York Times branding.

The image has been signed across the front by Eleanor Gehrig on behalf of Lou, "To Mickey, May you always find the happiness you so unselfishly give. Sincerely, Lou Gehrig 12/25/39". Signature and salutation rate 8 out of 10 and based on dating the photo was undoubtedly a Christmas gift to Eisenberg from the Gehrigs. General condition is exceptional with minimal handling wear.
