Ein seitlich erhöhtes, ovales Loch dient als Mundstück (Embouchure). Am oberen Ende des Hornes befindet sich als Verzierung die Figur eines Stammeskriegers. Der Schalltrichter ist mit Ziselierungen verziert.
Hörner dieser Form wurden in Afrika oft auch aus tierischen Naturmaterialien hergestellt. Das Instrument zeigt leichte Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.
Abmessungen: Gesamtlänge: 61,5cm, Länge ohne aufgesetzte Figur: 46cm, Durchmesser Schalltrichter: 8,9cm.


UNSIGNED BRONZE CROSS HORN, AFRICA
A raised oval hole on the side serves as a mouthpiece (embouchure). The upper end of the horn is decorated with the figurine of a tribal warrior. The bell is decorated with chisels. Horns of this shape were made in Africa, but in most cases from natural animal materials. The instrument has slight signs of age and use.
